[Hey, Watanuki, were you enjoying some peace and quiet in the privacy of your own room??
Because there are windows in the room! And people passing by those windows! Case in point: there's currently a big pink gremlin passing by, and a-knocking, knocking on your chamber window. He's bouncing a little in place and seems quite excited? Perhaps you should let him in?
Or you could wait and see what he does next, but that might be hazardous.]
[He is, actually! You know that paper by the box to write letters to the bird witch? He's got some, along with a pen, and he's working on a letter while sitting cross-legged on his bed. A book from the library is his writing surface.
As soon as Anon knocks on the window, though, Watanuki scrambles to shove the paper under some other papers, which then get shoved under his pillow.
He's going to go over to the window next, and he throws it open to yell at Anon.]
[Anon's all pressed up against the glass already, spectating the flurry of activity with some amusement, but he obligingly jumps back a step when Watanuki shoves the window open, because the window is swift and Watanuki is loud! He scares off a few nearby seagulls or whatever.
Anon himself just gives a pleasant little wave.]
Visiting! It's way easier to tell who's home from out here.
Besides, it's a beautiful day. Are you gonna stay cooped up the whole time?
[Let's make it today since Watanuki decided to conk out quite handily yesterday and also yesterday was a lot!! Anon's coming in from his more-or-less traditional morning exercises, sword in hand -- he's still kind of damp, but not dripping (otherwise Vinea might spontaneously materialize out of sheer indignation), and windswept as he wanders into the library.
Vinea might still start manifesting in the library because he has a big-ass sword in there now, but too bad. At least he's entering through the door this time, and patiently props his sword by the door before hitting the stacks.
Or rather, he starts to head over and then spots somebody he knows.]
Watanuki! You're awake!
[I have on idea how long he was out for but apparently everyone's just starting to get used to him going down for the count.]
Also Watanuki is very much awake, sitting in the library, looking through a book. And he has been awake all day. So he's giving Anon a confused look there.]
[Returning the confused look with his usual grin and plopping down across from him with a book he just swiped from a nearby shelf. This one appears to be something about... it's definitely about ghosts! All kinds of ghost stories.
It's debatable whether it's research or whether Watanuki just reminded him the mansion is probably haunted.]
I meant yesterday! You sure like to spend a lot of time sleeping on the floor.
[Well, it's actually been a while since Anon went to visit Watanuki, specifically -- not out of any thought of avoiding the Witch of Dimensions or anything, because why would he even do that, but simply because now he has the luxury of properly dragging Watanuki in public and that totally works out. All the same--
All the same! This unfortunate Saturday, after Nirrti's more or less mopped the floor with their asses in her own way and Syaoran has mopped Watanuki off the floor after the trial and they've mopped up the afterparty, he'll get a familiar(?!) knocking 'pon his chamber window.
No, he didn't learn his lesson. Yes, he's waving cheerfully at him anyway.]
[It's... probably pretty late by the time Anon gets around to Watanuki's window this fine day. It might even be Thursday already, who knows, timelines are fake and chronology is hard. He's quiet out there for a little while, for once, propping his chin on the windowsill -- he's not really looking in or spying, just sort of absently hanging out there.
At length, though, he finally gives the window a few raps in his usual fashion.
It's been a long day and a long week already, y'all. Please spare him.]
[Watanuki is laying on his bed, with an arm covering his eyes. Despite the late hour, he can't actually sleep, so he's awake when Anon knocks. He lifts his arm to look and see who it is, but when he sees it's anon he uses magic to flick open the window.
And then he covers his head with a pillow, because he's a dramatic fucking baby.]
[After he finishes stuffing himself through the window, he stares at the Watanuki-pile on the bed and gives a little laugh, then comes over to throw himself down at the foot of it. It definitely bounces them both around a bit, because that's one of the best momentary remedies for magical melodramatics.
He doesn't say anything for a couple moments, just stretching a little and letting the mattress settle again. Eventually:]
What?
[As though they're just. Continuing a conversation. Close enough.]
Surprise, surprise, he can observe social niceties when he's just violently murdered one-half of you (or whatever that was) a day or so ago. Will Watanuki even recognize him knocking......]
[Not at all, which is why he answers the door instead of just ignoring it. Though when he sees just who is knocking, he is torn between shutting the door, telling Anon to go away, and questioning why he's here.]
[The last time he used the door was when Erhard decided to be extremely Erhard at him and that ended real well. But he doesn't mention that.
Instead:]
I had some questions for the Witch of Dimensions.
[There's something oddly formal about it that doesn't fit him, usually. Speaking of ill-fitting for the occasion, though, he's wearing this hella monstrosity which might pass for a suit on him. Blame Gebura's closet for this.]
[So this Wednesday night, after their regularly scheduled and highly morbid book club, there's a familiar tap-tap-tap at Watanuki's window. Anon's back to his old tricks and while it's a 50-50 of Watanuki outright ignoring him he's also an extremely patient window-watcher who will stare endlessly until you give in.
[Watanuki has his Shamisen out, actually! It looks like he is doing some care for it when he hears Anon knock, which he pauses when he looks up at the window. He'll wave for Anon to come in, but he doesn't get up to open the window, since his hands are full.]
[It's been such a strange and whirlwind week, and in a sense Anon is still catching up with himself -- it's not especially unusual, because he's one to act on instinct and start moving or speaking before he thinks in many cases.
It doesn't mean he's thoughtless, though, just that he tends to think on the fly. Sometimes literally.
This time he feels pretty far behind, though, a little bit at sea (though not as much as their living colleagues will likely be next week!); but it's also probably the first time he doesn't care at all and doesn't need to take some kind of immediate action to fix it. There are actions he needs to take, of course, and others he needs to at least begin to contemplate, but... that's what his current wandering of the shop is about, so.
Where, oh where, is our noodle Witch?]
This place really is bigger on the inside, isn't it...

Then he flicks his finger around, and the window magically opens.]
Come on in.
['Step into my parlor' said the spider to the fly.]

Anon doesn't really hesitate, even though the window magically opening is new -- he just laughs, briefly, and slips his way inside.]
How annoying was it to pretend to be a Piece all that time? It really was pointless holding yourself back, wasn't it?
