He's coming from the literal other end of the spectrum from others trying to teach the Witches, but the strange thing is the things they agree on: living things are all the same, in the ways that matter. It's the spaces in between that might contain new possibilities, ways of living, places to go.

It's the path I would like to take, at least. I'm not certain if I'll make it, but I want to try.

...admittedly I would like it better if you were on that path too, but you might not be ready for it yet.

Technically I'm a villain right now too, you know. And even if that weren't the case, there's no rule saying villains and heroes can't be friends.

Yeah. That's a Witch thing. Witches live for a long, long time, so they bounce back and forth between 'friendship' and 'anger'.
