[It's... probably pretty late by the time Anon gets around to Watanuki's window this fine day. It might even be Thursday already, who knows, timelines are fake and chronology is hard. He's quiet out there for a little while, for once, propping his chin on the windowsill -- he's not really looking in or spying, just sort of absently hanging out there.
At length, though, he finally gives the window a few raps in his usual fashion.
It's been a long day and a long week already, y'all. Please spare him.]
[Watanuki is laying on his bed, with an arm covering his eyes. Despite the late hour, he can't actually sleep, so he's awake when Anon knocks. He lifts his arm to look and see who it is, but when he sees it's anon he uses magic to flick open the window.
And then he covers his head with a pillow, because he's a dramatic fucking baby.]
[After he finishes stuffing himself through the window, he stares at the Watanuki-pile on the bed and gives a little laugh, then comes over to throw himself down at the foot of it. It definitely bounces them both around a bit, because that's one of the best momentary remedies for magical melodramatics.
He doesn't say anything for a couple moments, just stretching a little and letting the mattress settle again. Eventually:]
What?
[As though they're just. Continuing a conversation. Close enough.]
People definitely do, and they suck more all the time, right?
[He was sitting up, actually, but now he'll just. Flop across the foot of the bed like a particularly large and unruly cat. His hair goes everywhere and he almost rolls off the end, but luckily he's good at catching himself.]
So is this about all the vision and the book stuff or are you sulking about something else?
You're just rolling around in your bed sighing into your pillow because you really feel like it. Got it!
[The thing is that he doesn't even make that sound like sarcasm.
He seems to just accept that Watanuki is a noodle that regularly soaks up Shakespeare levels of tragic posturing in the middle of the night. On the bright side, he seems to have found a good stable spot on the bed.]
I think Shadow already tried that. Are you saying you'll just lay down and give up the ghost if somebody tries to shoot you again?
[Anon seems to be contemplating this seriously, but hey, he isn't armed. Instead he reaches over and pokes at Watanuki's foot, just haphazardly.]
Well, you did kidnap us, and then a bunch of us are dead, and also you sealed away all our powers, and you're totally unreliable and high-maintenance and you didn't read the manual!
Surprise, surprise, he can observe social niceties when he's just violently murdered one-half of you (or whatever that was) a day or so ago. Will Watanuki even recognize him knocking......]
[Not at all, which is why he answers the door instead of just ignoring it. Though when he sees just who is knocking, he is torn between shutting the door, telling Anon to go away, and questioning why he's here.]
[The last time he used the door was when Erhard decided to be extremely Erhard at him and that ended real well. But he doesn't mention that.
Instead:]
I had some questions for the Witch of Dimensions.
[There's something oddly formal about it that doesn't fit him, usually. Speaking of ill-fitting for the occasion, though, he's wearing this hella monstrosity which might pass for a suit on him. Blame Gebura's closet for this.]
[He sure can. And there's a table with two chairs at it, sitting in the middle of the room. Watanuki won't make any tea for himself, but he will invite Anon to sit down.]
When the game is over, everyone will be returning to the Foundation. Or, in your case, to another world. Their souls are still here, and they will be freed once the game is over.
That sounds nice, but we still don't know what it means for the Game to be over.
[It's not exactly hostile -- after this weekend, his energy levels aren't exactly even high enough for true hostility, so it's just like going through the motions without much of the tone.
He does mean it, though. There's doubt there, and many questions.]
If both of you winning could just mean everyone dies or everyone gets set on fire, then that's kind of meaningless, isn't it?
For the game to end, either one of myself or Nirrti has to win, or one of us has to 'yield'. Since the future of either of us winning looks rather bleak, one of us will need to yield.
And even if everyone died, I would still return everyone to the Foundation. So long as I am alive, you will be going back.
Yielding leads to a 'win', but without the death of the loser. Presumably. That's usually how these 'games' are won, I think. The loser graciously accepts the loss, rather than dragging it out to the bitter end.
I would be open to yielding, but only under a certain condition.
Week 4
Wednesday

People suck. That's all.
[The reply is muffled by his pillow, which he hasn't moved.]

I'm not sulking. But yes, it's something else.

So what are you sighing about?
no subject
I think I might be the villain here, Anon.
no subject
Hmm? Well, the dreams sometimes seem to think so!
Or are you losing your resolve because Nirrti might have a tragic backstory?

Well, you did kidnap us, and then a bunch of us are dead, and also you sealed away all our powers, and you're totally unreliable and high-maintenance and you didn't read the manual!
But you know... I don't regret playing this Game.

[He's in a funk and can't decide what kind of person he should be, but that doesn't mean he wants to die.
Also, he scrunches up his toes when he's poked. His face similarly scrunches up when he hears that description, up until the last bit.]
...you really don't?

Sunday
Surprise, surprise, he can observe social niceties when he's just violently murdered one-half of you (or whatever that was) a day or so ago. Will Watanuki even recognize him knocking......]

...
It's odd of you to use the door.
[He goes for the somewhat-nice route.]

[The last time he used the door was when Erhard decided to be extremely Erhard at him and that ended real well. But he doesn't mention that.

no subject
I can answer those questions for you, probably. Did you want some tea?
no subject
[Because Gebura's closet was vored into his closet as a joke on my part. AKA he's cosplaying her today because that's just how he do.
So does that mean he can come in.]
no subject
no subject
It's quiet for a few moments, but it's not like he's going to beat around the bush.]
What are you going to do about Nirrti's Pieces?
I remember you writing that you would do something about them, and I thought you'd given up on that until I heard you talking about it recently.
[Something about souls, something something.]

[This is a foreign concept to him. What even is a Witch's Game, honestly.]
Back, or somewhere else... So we have to keep the Witch of Dimensions alive, huh.
[There's something like a sigh in his voice. The last time somebody talked to him about that was in the trial...]
