[ It may be a little unfair that Emi has never made much of an effort to interact with Watanuki until now when she wants something from him. But then again, if her usual powers hadn't been sealed upon arriving here, she could do this herself without needing to request anything in the first place.
[It's fine. Watanuki doesn't take it personally. What she is doing is how things usually go anyway. Most people don't try to befriend a shopkeeper before buying their wares.
Which is also why his room is set up more like a waiting room than a bedroom, when Emi arrives. He opens the door with a professional smile, too.]
Hello, come right in.
[It's like he can already guess why she is here.
But he has a table in the middle of the room, with two cups of tea prepared.]
'Prophet', remember? I have a bit of a sixth sense when it comes to people wanting to make wishes.
[He'll sit down in the other chair.]
I have a guess, but it's my policy to let the customer talk through it. That tends to reveal more of the intent behind the wish than just guessing for myself.
[ She looks down at the teacup for a moment, not picking it up, and exhales softly. ]
Anon-kun is gone and Koide-kun is with you. The only one I can still do anything for is Kurama-kun.
As a youkai, one power I had was the ability to share my senses with other living things. I can't do that here, so I'm asking you to do it for me. I want to share my sight with him so we can better look out for each other, and so that he has more of an opportunity to defend himself if anyone targets him.
Yes, but it doesn't have to be a 'complete eye' kind of thing.
[He points to his own right eye.]
This is half of someone else's eyesight. He could still see out of his own eye, but his eyesight in that eye was cut in half, and that half was given to me. I could do something like that for you, if you like. Until you get glasses it will be disorienting, and you will randomly be able to see what he sees, but it might be a good way to give him that protection without completely going blind in one eye.
[ She just doesn't want to regret getting what she paid for. ]
How would that work on his part, then?
[ When she did this with her own power, she very literally gave one of her eyes to things that didn't have any. And it was fucking creepy tbh. On both sides. ]
sunday night
So... it is what it is.
Late on Sunday, she knocks lightly on his door. ]

[ She smiles politely as she steps inside, and... looks at the set table. Hm. ]
Were you expecting someone?
no subject
[He was definitely expecting her. He'll also indicate to one of the chairs, inviting her to sit down.]

[ But she'll take the seat that's offered. ]
Do you already know what I'm going to ask you for too, then?

To give him that third eye, the price would be losing one of mine, right?
[ It would literally be an eye for an eye. ]

That would only give him half of it too, wouldn't it? Or are you actually in the business of granting half-priced wishes?
no subject
Plus you both could sometimes see what the other sees if you share an eye.

I don't want to take anything from him.

[So a baby by youkai standards.]

[ but seriously. ]
I don't want to make him give anything up for me.

If you don't want him to pay anything, then there is another price you can pay. You might not like it much, though.
