[ yeah ok this shit is weird. Watanuki being tired isn't a surprise -- supporting his dream world with so many people in it probably takes a lot out of him.

But the uh... weird... small things... being weird in the shop?

He does Not Like.

He may also be a little grouchy about CERTAIN OTHER THINGS, and tired himself from keeping Terios manifested.]

Kimihiro. I take it you know the mansion is bleeding into the shop?

[Watanuki is...not doing so great honestly. His clothes are very plain, compared to the Extra way he normally dresses, and he's starting to look quite pale. Exhaustion is setting in, and the weird items in the shop are just a sign of it.]

I know, I know, I'm trying to keep them out. The more people who show up, the harder it is to keep the shop consistent.

[He sounds more tired than cranky, to be honest.]

... hnnrrggh. If only I had an emerald here... I could help provide energy to keep the shop stable...

It's more complicated than just energy. It takes a lot of focus too. Imagine trying to do your everyday life, but you always hear this buzzing sound in the back of your mind, whispering random things into your ear. It's like that, but it's ten buzzing noises, not one.

[Thankfully Shadow and Natsuno are still 'alive' and don't do that to him, but the others are. Yeah.]

Sort of like...Have you ever tried to write a note, but someone is talking to you while you write, so you end up accidentally writing what they say instead of what you're thinking for a few words sometimes? That's what it is.

[It's clear that Watanuki has something on his mind, but he is hesitant to ask it.]

...you know, it's really, really hard to ask for help. Because if I put words to what I need, then it's like those problems are actually real, and I can't ignore them anymore.

[Surprise surprise, Watanuki tries to avoid conflicts.]

I've already explained my 'dreamseer' powers to you, right? About how I can travel through dreams and see the future in them?

Yes, like those visions of the possible future the others saw. What about it?

Because I spend so much of my time in dreams, sometimes it's hard to tell when I'm sleeping and when I'm awake.

[There's a slight pause there, and he glances away.]

A reminder of which is which wouldn't be bad, when it's particularly difficult.

[Shadow smiles a bit, slyly]

So what? You want me to pinch you to make sure you're not dreaming?

More like if I ask you 'is this a dream, or is this real', you tell me the truth. A pinch would tell me nothing, I feel pain both in reality and in dreams.

[Shadow's quills frizz up and his cheeks turn red]

[Sorry Shadow, he's laughing now. But hey, at least it's a healthy, friendly laugh? He's not cackling like a villain or anything.]

[Shadow flicks Watanuki on the forehead]

[He honestly doesn't mind if Shadow gets to know his tricks.]

I don't make threats. I make promises. .... though I guess it is also a threat, yes.

[Shadow huffs again and looks away]

We're almost there, aren't we. [He looks back at Watanuki. His expression is neutral, but he's hung around the hedgehog enough to pick up on that touch of worry there] Is it... going to be alright?

Mmm, another week or so and we should be done.

And I think we'll be alright. I have faith in everyone.

... I'm almost a bit more worried about what awaits everyone back at the Foundation than what has yet to come here. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Oh, I have an idea for that already. I know some won't be going back, but for those who choose to, I'm not going to just put them back right where they were.
