Exactly. It's stupid when it happens in cartoons, and it's stupid now.

But it also meant that I had to claim Yuuko-san's title, or else Nirrti would have claimed it. Ergo, I had to become a witch to keep her from having too much power.

You might want to emphasize that when talking with the others. Also, you were a normal guy before, right? Might also be good to point out. I kinda got into a shouting match with Shadow over whether witches are people...

Oh no, I wasn't normal at all. I could see dead people, and I inherited my family's strong magical power, which is the power Ruler-san is using as energy right now. Plus I had prophetic dreams of the future.

I still have those, by the way. I just have the powers of the Witch of Dimensions on top of it.

...but I will emphasize that the witch stuff happened because I didn't want Nirrti to have two sets of powers, yes.

That is a lot of magic powers. All I got from my family was sick dance skills and a giant house I kinda hate.

You want to know something funny? When I first met Yuuko-san, it was because I was a patron of her wish shop. My wish was to lose all of my powers entirely.

In context, that's a tragedy in three sentences. This sounds like it was a really long story.

Trust me, it was. Luckily Yuuko-san saw that I was just afraid of my powers, and she taught me to appreciate them instead.

I guess I'm glad that happened? I mean, if this same situation cropped up and you weren't the Good Witch of the North we'd be totally screwed, right?

Besides, there's a lot of people out there who would like powers. I got some from the Foundation, and it'd sure be nice if I could use them...

Pretty much. Without me, there's no other player to face Nirrti. She would win by default.

So what all can you do as a "Witch" other than balance her out and uh. Experience death for us. I guess that's already kind of a lot...

As the Witch of Dimensions, I can walk through the 'sea of fragments' without getting lost. Which means I can go to any world in existence and interact with that world. Similarly, I can transport people and objects through the sea of fragments, taking them from one world and bringing them to another.

It's how I grant wishes, actually. I reach out into the sea of fragments to get what I need, and I bring it to where I am.

That's uh...that's definitely a thing. Of some kind.

That's pretty interesting, though. Before I wound up in the Foundation, I went through some kind of portal to another world. They told me there it was in another universe, and apparently I can go to parallel universes by myself now, thanks to whatever happens to people they "recruit".

I'd show you, but I haven't been able to do it here...

Sometimes people have that power. It's very rare, but very useful. Take care of it, and try not to get lost in your journeys after this game is over.
