For anything from the 2nd trial onwards!

[Gosh why don't you just slay his emotions already??? And that sudden intake of breath isn't to cover up how hard he's fighting the urge to cry. He even has to look away as he blinks a few times.]

I think we can manage that, yes.

[Getting his shoes and emerald back, that is. Since apparently now Shadow is a resident of the wish shop and all, his tasks get priority.]

[Shadow just chuckles a little. It sounds kind of cruel, but there's something genuine about it, too]

Good. Then it's settled.

You'll have to get used to being woken up early. Maru and Moro are the worst for that. They'll jump on the bed and laugh and yell until you wake up. And Mokona is an absolute lush who drinks all the time. Mugetsu isn't so bad, but he can get over-protective.

[As he speaks, there's a fondness to his tone, like he's looking forward to this. This friendship means a lot to him, and it has helped him heal.]

I don't sleep much, anyway. I'm usually up with the sun. And I'm sure you've noticed, but I can certainly hold my liquor. I can drink that little rabbit creature under the table.

[That fondness isn't lost on Shadow. He really has been lonely, hasn't he?

But hell. Even Shadow would probably be craving some companionship after 100 years alone]

Ha...Mokona will like the challenge.

[But Watanuki is glad for this turn of events, and seems to actually have something positive to look forward to after this round is over.]

I will definitely win.

[Shadow looks back to the crystal ball]

-- Oh. It seems like they've chosen. Hmph. Seems like they went with the somewhat obvious choice...

It's going to have some interesting results, to be sure.
